JULY 24 – 26, 2019 + JULY 23 afternoon
Welcome to the 23rd International Symposium on Transportation and Traffic Theory (ISTTT), to be held on the EPFL campus, in Lausanne (Switzerland) on July 24 – 26, 2019. On July, 23rd, a summer school will be organized with distinguished lectures.
The International Symposium on Transportation and Traffic Theory (ISTTT) series has remained the primary venue for discussing advances in the theoretical and methodological aspects of the interdisciplinary field of transportation and traffic systems science. Many original concepts and methods saw their origins in the Proceedings of previous symposia.
The ISTTT series is the premier gathering for the world’s transportation and traffic theorists, and for those who are interested in contributing to or gaining a deeper understanding of transportation phenomena and systems.
The Symposium covers all scientific, fundamental and methodological aspects of transportation systems spanning all modes of transport, while topics related to logistics, optimization, networks and new technologies are also welcome. Like its predecessors, ISTTT23 will keep an open mind about the scope of the conference and what constitutes transportation and traffic theory. Its ambition is to reflect the best work underway anywhere in the world on the science of traffic and transportation. We welcome high quality papers on new research as well as established themes.
As for previous editions, all accepted papers will appear online in Elsevier's Transportation Research Procedia. Podium papers will be also printed in a book for the attendees. Also, Transportation Research part B and part C journals are committed to pursue with publication of the accepted podium papers. Review will undergo a selection of extended abstracts to be invited for a full paper submission followed by 2 rounds of rigorous review for full papers. All accepted papers are considered that meet the quality of top-notch papers published in the best journals of transportation.
Please note that the official language for ISTTT23 is English.
